Back from Atlanta and all is well....enough

So I neglected to blog in over a week but I have a valid excuse:

My dog ate my homework!
-or-
My computer's motherboard got fried and is still out for repairs so I'm typing this up on my g/f's computer

Anyway, let's begin with the training garb so we feel a sense of accomplishment right up front.

I've been pretty diligent in this new resurgence though I still have yet to sign up for a race. I'm thinking the June 21st ITU Championships would be a sick way to start the season.

No no, I wouldn't race with the pros but I could certainly hang and watch them after the race and how cool would that be?! Yea, I think I'm talking myself into it. But it's $95.00 to enter and here I already had my birthday (thanks to anyone that remembered) but if you're still wanting to get me a gift, feel free to donate via Paypal or send a check or cash or or or

Yea, I'm shameless but I've found no results from being subtle ;)

In other news, I've finally completed the home duties I took on some month ago. While it certainly didn't require me to take so long, I took my time to do things right, though I did run into a few pitfalls along the way but those are just depressing and I'd rather move on.

Outside of the bedroom and past the multiple ceilings, we decided on a color for the living room walls: Raspberry

While this certainly isn't the best picture (due to my photos being stuck on the card in the camera), the dark gives the room depth and a flair that was once missing.

A bit more brown and I think I'd have the color for my den of the future. Alas, tis but a dream in this housing market of ours but I'm not about to go down that sad trail.

The final chapter in the house remodeling due to flood number 2, is the floor. The poor floor that hasn't been finalized due to a major screw-up with the contractors last Tuesday. Man was I ever gonna be psyched beyond when the floor was gonna be done and we could return from Atlanta to a finished home!

Fail

So the finalized pictures will have to wait. Let's hope the computer and floor repairs come quicker than my decision on which race to enter!

oh yea! for tradition's sake, lemme put down some lyrics and a neat-o video for y'all to get addicted to
Wait, you haven't noticed the recurring music themes? Man I gotta get back better at this blogging thing.
